The beach is such a lovely place to have your portrait made, especially with your sweetie! So when you decide that the beach is definitely the place for your session the first thing you wonder is What to Wear. You definitely want to be comfortable at the beach. For the gals, a long beach dress will look fabulous blowing in the breeze. Pair it with some simple sandals that are easy to slip off because you know you'll end up getting your toes wet. For the guys, a cotton t-shirt is classic and the fabric breathes easy in warm weather. As far as choosing colors, consider wearing hues that will be a nice compliment or a bright contrast to the beach tones. Think outside the box. {fyi: white, khaki, and tan will wash out in photos and these colors blend in with the color of the sand.}
Most of all, make your session all about you! Bring a towel, your sunglasses, a surfboard if you like to surf. Make a sandcastle. Go get your favorite flavored slurpee at 7-11 to share on the beach with your love. The best sessions are the ones that are intimately and personally you. Have fun & beach it up!

When styling for your session, it's important to include coordinating patterns and colors! Choose your base colors and coordinate a pattern to go along with it! Add accessories with textures and different shades of your base colors, as well!

This past weekend was a very exciting one for me personally as I was engaged to the best guy in the world! Of course, I immediately began thinking about our engagement photos and one of the most important things when planning a session - what to wear!
