What to Wear Wednesdays - Maternity Feature | Fort Myers Photographer

Need help in preparing for a maternity session? This is for you!

Today's guest blogger is photographer, Laura Oldfather, currently pregnant with her third and last child!

#1- Shooting Outdoors
When shooting outdoors in the heat, it is very easy for the mom-to-be to become overheated. Wear clothes that allow some "air flow" such as a dress or a loose top.

#2- Keeping Your Natural Shape
If wearing the wrong clothing, it can sometimes deceive your natural pregnancy shape. Be sure to wear some sort of synching, belt, or tie to separate your belly from the chest!

#3- Wear a Belly Band
Expect to be moving around, sitting, laying, and standing for long periods of time. To ease any discomfort in your back, wear a belly band for any additional support that you may need.

#4- Wear Comfortable Shoes
Hormones can easily cause expecting mothers to become dizzy unexpectedly and cause differences in your overall balance. I suggest wearing a pair of beautiful flats! Wearing flats can also reduce any swelling that you may experience in your feet.

#5- Nail Check!
Your hands will play a big role in your photo shoot, so I suggest getting a simple french manicure (another reason to get pampered!).
